City Art Hotel is a small, boutique style hotel, located in the downtown part of the city of Ruse. The hotel occupies a completely restored building that was officially manifested and registered as a monument of culture in 1973.
The building of the hotel is famous as the house and workshop of Jacque Lamar – famous maker and dealer of hats. The building is built in 1896 and planned by the architect – Udo Ribau. Ribau’s work is characterized with the demonstrative usage of brick as a building and decorative material, as well as the emphasized usage of elements of wrought and molded iron.
